A coach is an objective, nonjudgmental professional who offers encouragement, support, and strategies to help their coachee perform at their very best. Coaching is proven to be the highest evolved methodology for adult learning, designed to create positive change.
A “divorce coach” is a coach that has been trained in the niche area of divorce with the skills to help clients define their own vision for how they will work through their divorce process or as they take intentional steps in rebuilding their lives following the divorce. As their coach you will partner with your client to clarify their vision and goals, create an action plan that will lead them to their vision, hold them accountable to both their time frames, plans and steps and ultimately celebrate with your client as they reach their vision. Coaching is not a substitute for legal, therapeutic or financial advice. However, as the coach you will help your clients to design a team of professionals that are relevant to their divorce needs. This may include attorneys, accountants, counselors, realtors, mortgage lenders, a handyman, career training etc. In your training you will learn identify the professionals your client needs on their “growth” team as well as you will learn how to co-partner with these professionals.

How does a Career in Divorce Coaching align with and honor your beliefs and values as a Christian?
Statistics show that marriages of professing Christians are in no better shape than marriages in society at large. We must have Christian professionals trained to work with individuals and families as they face one of life's most devastating, life-altering challenges they may ever have to go through - divorce.
Sandra Dopf Lee and Jennifer Cisney are committed Christians and absolutely believe in the healthy restoration of marriages. But when that doesn't happen we also believe the next steps are criticial for the divorcing couple. There is a significant difference between a person or couple that has a Divorce Coach and how they approach the unknowns of divorce versus individuals or couples that do not have the tools to navigate a confusing, bitter, and advesarial legal system. Everyone suffers - especially when there are children involved.
Signing the divorce decree doesn't tidy up the lives of those that have just been changed by this event. The life following a divorce often leaves people floundering and locked into a non-productive cycle of denial, excuses, shame, guilt, anger and other self-sabotaging thoughts and behaviors - which all paralyzes growth and responsible living as they step forward into their new life. A Life-After Divorce Coach is vital in helping their clients to work through this life-transition and begin living the life that is waiting on them.
The goal of this training is to empower and equip Christian coaches to coach their clients to grow through and beyond their divorce without losing their faith or values and to open their hearts to God's transformational healing, love and hope for their future!
You can change lives one divorce at a time!
